Washington, DC— Nevada Senator Harry Reid today selected the first names of Nevadans who entered into his office-sponsored ticket drawing to attend the 57th quadrennial Presidential Inauguration. Nevadans from across the state have entered into the drawing for a chance to attend the event in Washington, D.C.  Of the ten names he randomly selected, 5 are from Las Vegas, 1 is from Henderson, 2 are from Reno, 1 is from Carson City and 1 is from Baker.

“I am honored to provide Nevadans with the opportunity to attend the Presidential Inauguration ceremonies and be a part of history in the making,” said Reid. “The Inaugural brings with it a sense of hope and unity in Washington and around our country. I thank all Nevadans who entered into the drawing and I look forward to seeing those selected at the Capitol.”

*** Nevadans in the drawing will be notified by Senator Reid’s office regarding the status of their entry by December 21, 2012. Tickets to the Inauguration are provided free of charge. Senator Reid’s office will not pay for travel expenses or for accommodations in Washington D.C. No other organization, website or ticket outlet has received legitimate inaugural swearing-in tickets to sell or otherwise distribute.
