Washington, DC – Nevada Senator Harry Reid met with members of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, along with several city officials to discuss issues important to Henderson residents and businesses, including health care, transportation, land and energy.

“The Chamber representatives and I discussed Henderson’s tremendous growth and ways we can work together to meet the challenges that comes along with it,” Reid said. “It was a great discussion, and I thank the Chamber members and city officials for taking the time to meet with me.”

The Henderson business community strongly supports Reid’s Southern Nevada Limited Transition Area Act lands bill.  The bill would redistribute the 500 acres of land surrounding the Henderson Airport to City of Henderson.  The city hopes to rezone the land for a downtown business district, and then sell the land at auction.
