Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid issued the following statement on the National Transportation and Safety Board’s (NTSB) findings on the causes of a collision between a tractor trailer and a passenger train which occurred in Miriam, Nevada on June 24, 2011:

“I commend Robert Accetta and his team for their work,” said Reid. “The findings of the NTSB investigation offer insight into the causes of the tragic collision that occurred last year in Miriam. Today, as we reflect on the accident, my thoughts go out to the family and friends of those individuals who lost their lives in the collision and to those who were injured.
