Legislation will create motocross and stock car racing area and expand tribal land March 25, 2010 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign today introduced legislation to secure federal land for the residents of Elko County. The Elko Motocross and Tribal Conveyance Act would give approximately 300 acres of land managed by the Bureau of Land Management to Elko County. This conveyance will clear the way for the construction of a BMX, motocross, off-highway vehicle, and stock car racing area for the benefit of people all across northeastern Nevada. The new Motocross Park will provide an economic boon to the City of Elko and a safe place for people of all ages to learn and enjoy motorsports.
