Yesterday at Aria Resort & Casino, I had a close look at a variety of electric cars that could be the engines to our clean energy future.
 
As John Podesta, the President and CEO of the Center for American Progress, and I welcomed reporters to the site of this year’s National Clean Energy Summit, we previewed a variety of vehicles that will be on display for business executives, energy policy innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and others attending today’s event. These cars are 100 percent electric, will be affordable for Nevadans and will help our state and our country reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

The Summit, co-sponsored by the Center for American Progress, the Clean Energy Project, MGM Resorts International, and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, will feature discussions about our nation’s energy policy and how to boost Nevada competitiveness in the global economy.
