Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid met RTC of Southern Nevada’s General Director Tina Quigley to discuss progress made on the Boulder City Bypass project and ways to improve transit on the Flamingo and the Maryland corridors. Strengthening the public transportation system to and from UNLV and the Strip to McCarran International Airport was also discussed.
“We need to complement the development in Southern Nevada with a transportation infrastructure that meets the needs of our residents,” said Reid. “Transportation to and from McCarran Airport remains a priority as millions more travelers come through Las Vegas each year. And we should do more to relieve traffic and congestion on the Strip to help guests and our workforce at the resorts. I look forward to working with the RTC to improve transit options across Southern Nevada.”
