Nevada Senator Harry Reid met with representatives from the College of Agriculture at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid met Tuesday with representatives from the College of Agriculture at the University of Nevada, Reno to discuss a range of conservation issues as well as wildfire prevention and sage grouse preservation. The group was in Washington, D.C. to attend the annual Council for Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching (CARET) meeting.  

“I was pleased to meet with representatives from UNR’s College of Agriculture,” said Reid. “UNR’s faculty and students are at the forefront of modern ranching, biotechnology, and conservation research. I look forward to my continued work with the college’s Dean & Director Ron Pardini in the future to make sure they have proper resources to make meaningful progress in their fields of study.”
