Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement upon the Senate’s 95-3 bipartisan passage of the Retired Pay and Restoration Act. The bill will restore the cut to the Cost of Living Allowance for military retirees:
“Today I have welcome news for Nevada’s veterans: the Senate has restored earned retirement pay and this bill is now heading to the President’s desk for his signature. I heard from Nevada’s veterans and dozens of major veterans’ organizations in support of this legislation and I am pleased that Republicans and Democrats could come together on this compromise.”
