Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced Shannon Raborn has returned to his team as Southern Nevada Director/Policy Advisor, based in Las Vegas. Shannon previously served as Reid’s Southern Nevada Director in 2006 before joining his successful reelection campaign as Deputy Campaign Manager in 2010.
“I am so happy to welcome Shannon back,” said Senator Reid. “Hundreds of Nevadans contact my office each day with questions on housing casework, jobs, immigration, and veterans’ claims among many other issues. I am confident Shannon’s long-time expertise in policy and outreach efforts will ensure every Nevadan knows and understands the services available to assist them.”
Shannon has extensive experience leading local, state and national campaigns, developing the capacity of grassroots organizations, and forming and maintaining networks to achieve statewide and regional results. Her non-profit experience included work as a consultant on public land issues, the Associate Director of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association and Assistant Organizing Director for the Public Interest Research Group. Shannon received a BA from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia.
