United States Senator Harry Reid is proud to offer the Larry Bolden Memorial Internship.

This internship is designed to provide an individual interested in public service the opportunity to intern for Senator Harry Reid in his Washington, D.C. office. We are seeking a highly motivated, outstanding student and/or recent undergraduate with an interest in public service. The individual selected for the internship will receive a stipend and must be able to work in Washington, D.C.

Candidates for this internship must meet the following qualifications:

• At least a rising junior in a 4-year accredited Nevada college or university, or a recent recipient of an undergraduate degree
• Minimum 3.0 grade point average
• Provide a completed application form which includes the following:
• a 500-word essay explaining your goals in public service (See application for essay topic)
• current resume
• one (1) letter of recommendation from a professor, counselor or employer
• Be available for a local in-person interview

Internship Information
Interns are asked to commit up to 40 hours a week. The internship will run concurrent with regularly scheduled intern semesters (September-December, January-May). Interns will receive a monthly stipend, but will be responsible for their travel to and from D.C. and their room and board while living in Washington.

As an intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work in the office of United States Senator Harry Reid. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparing background research; assisting with event planning for press events, summits and briefings; and office administrative duties. Interns must demonstrate professionalism and discretion in every aspect of this internship. We are able to accommodate a variety of academic backgrounds and majors due to the diverse nature of Senate office.
